Carved Mjolnir Hammer of Thor Viking Shield

This hand-carved shield displays a unique Runes engraved artwork with Thor´s hammer in its center. In Norse mythology, Thor's hammer is the symbol of ultimate power and strength. Forged by dwarfs, it never failed him; he used it to crush giant heads and as an instrument of sanctification. By carrying this shield in combat, warriors communicated their intent to destroy their opponents without mercy.

The shield is made out of 15mm thick birch plywood, painted, and varnished by hand, consolidated by a hand-hammered umbo and iron bolts. It comes with a wood handlebar installed on the back. The shield can be used as a decorative wall hanger or as a functional piece for medieval reenactment or LARP. 

Because these are handmade products made with real wood blanks the sizes, textures and overall appearance may vary from the photos above. Some blanks might be smaller than anticipated, or larger sizes too thick to transport at a low cost.
